March Membership Meeting

On Thursday, March 2, 2017, the members of the Natchez Garden Club held its monthly membership meeting at Elms Court, the home of Anne MacNeil. With a beautiful backdrop for the business meeting, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch and catching up with one another.

Several Natchez Garden Club members teamed up to purchase a first edition copy of Annie Balfour and her Friend written by Julia Putnam Henderson, daughter of Thomas Henderson of Magnolia Hall in Natchez, Mississippi. Written under the pen name "Theta", the book was released shortly after her death in 1870. The book was spotted online for sale and donated to the Natchez Garden Club to be on display in Magnolia Hall.

Also, Natchez National Historical Park Superintendent Kathleen Bond presented a lecture entitled "History, Memory, and Tourism in 20th Century Natchez."

Member Klydell Johnsey shared some of the gorgeous images she took while visiting Elms Court for the meeting. To enjoy these pictures of the floral arrangements done by Kay Taylor, the blooming grounds of the property, and the details within the home, visit "Natchez Garden Club" on Facebook!

Definitely that statistic impresses, however I would found it quite too not considerable to name it full and targeted only on customers.
